Article 1 - What are personal data?
A personal data is any piece of information about an identified or identifiable natural person. This can concern the name and contact details of a person, a date of birth, a photo, and any other data that is or can be linked to a natural person, such as an email address, phone number (even a work number), or login code.
A "processing" of your personal data means any collection, storage, use, modification, communication, transfer, or other processing of this data from the initial collection to destruction.
Article 2 - What data do we process about you?
Storalytic processes the following personal data in the context of its operations:
If you make use of our services:
If you make use of our services, we process your personal data, payment and invoicing data, and any other personal data that you voluntarily provide.
We use this data to provide our services and manage payment and invoicing. We process this data in the context of the performance of our agreement.
We retain your contact details (first name, last name, email address and company name) until the end of the contract. We must retain your invoicing data for legal reasons for 10 years from the calendar year following the invoice date.
When you browse our website:
Each time you browse our website, we may collect various personal data about you via cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browsing behavior, origin, and search terms. We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain and ensure the security and functionality of the website — these do not require your consent.

When you contact us:
If you contact us, for example via email, phone, website form, social media, a calendar application or another channel (e.g., chat tool), we process your contact data and the content of your inquiry. We do this solely to respond to your inquiry and thus fulfill our obligation to you. We do not retain your data longer than 6 months after the last contact.

If you schedule a demo meeting via our website:
If you schedule a demo appointment with us, we process your first name, last name, email address, and the content of your questions and all information you voluntarily provide during the booking of your appointment. Your data is only used for this booking and the preparation of the demo. If you do not become a client, we retain this data for no longer than 6 months after the last contact. We process this data in the context of preparing for or executing our agreement.
If you register for one of our round tables or events:
When registering for our round tables or events, webinars, and/or trainings, we process your first name, last name, email address, and the content of your questions and all information you voluntarily provide upon registration. We also process your personal data in the context of our customer care and aftersales. In this case, we process your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and the content of your question or complaint. The data we process in this context may vary depending on the situation, but we always ensure that we do not process more data than strictly necessary in each specific case.
The personal data you share with us in this context is obtained directly from you and is used solely for handling your question or complaint, based on the performance of our agreement.
After handling your inquiry or complaint, we retain your data for a period of 5 years after termination of the contract.
Processing of supplier data:
If you are a supplier, we process your supplier data. This usually includes your company data, contact data of your relevant staff, financial and billing data. This data is provided by you as supplier and processed in the context of the performance of our agreement. We retain this data in accordance with our accounting obligations for a period of 10 years.
If you apply for a job at Storalytic:
When you apply for a job offered by us—directly or via a third party, via our website, via email, phone, another job site, or our social media channels—we process your personal and application data for managing the application process in the context of concluding an agreement with you as an applicant.
The data we process includes your first name, last name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number, curriculum vitae, motivation letter, and other data you have provided to us. If you voluntarily provide sensitive data, you allow us to process it. Your application data is stored for a period of 3 months after the application.
Our social media and online marketing:
Storalytic naturally also uses social media accounts. You can find us, for example, on LinkedIn. If you visit our social media channels, you should primarily know that you are thereby sharing personal data with the company that owns the social medium in question. This happens outside our control and responsibility. If you want to know how social media handle your data, we recommend reading the privacy policy of each social medium carefully.
If you interact with us on our social media, you also share personal data with us. You do this on your own initiative, and we have a legitimate interest to process this data in the context of our contact with you. The specific data we process depends entirely on you.
Article 3 - Who receives your personal data?
We do not pass on your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
If necessary for internal reorganization or transfer of activities, we may share your data with third parties who could guarantee the continuity of our services. We will inform you in such a case to the extent possible in advance, but you understand that this is not technically or commercially feasible under all circumstances.
Storalytic may appoint external processors to provide specific services. These service providers will process data on our behalf and under our instructions (as processors). These include service providers we use for general administration, IT, and accounting. An up-to-date list of external processors with whom personal data is shared is available upon request via privacy[at]storalytic.io.
Storalytic will carefully select processors in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Additionally, Storalytic will ensure that the processing is carried out in accordance with the provisions of a written contract, if applicable, and legal data processing regulations.
We try to work as much as possible with European providers, but if we must use non-European providers, we ensure that your data is just as secure outside Europe as it is within. If necessary, we sign Standard Contractual Clauses with these partners and provide additional safeguards.
In rare cases, we may be required to disclose personal data based on a court order or to comply with other binding legal or regulatory requirements. We will try to inform you in advance to the best of our ability, unless legally prohibited.
Article 4 - What are your rights regarding the protection of your personal data?
As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR, if the conditions are met:
- Right to information about your personal data: You have the right at any time to access your personal data and to know how we use that data or to request a copy of it.
- Right to rectification and erasure: You have the right to request the correction or (in some cases) deletion of your data.
- Right to restrict processing: You may request that the processing of your personal data be restricted in certain cases listed in the GDPR.
- Right to object to processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if you have serious and legitimate reasons that override our necessity to process your data, or to withdraw previously given consent. You also have the right to object to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes, even without giving a reason.
- Right to data portability: You have the right to request your personal data in a digital and readable format and/or to have it transferred to another controller or service provider of your choice.
If you want to exercise one of these rights, please let us know as specifically as possible. When exercising your rights, Storalytic must be able to verify your identity to prevent someone else from impersonating you. We may therefore ask for a copy of a valid ID in case of doubt.

Where possible, we apply encryption both during storage and data transmission. Furthermore, we provide staff training on data protection and apply internal guidelines on data security.
Our IT infrastructure is actively monitored and protected with up-to-date antivirus software and firewalls. We continuously evaluate and improve our security measures to remain compliant with the latest standards and legislation.
